Clarification early after fermentation end is an important step to assure cleanness of the wines and their stability and to prevent wine disorders.
The subsequent filtration is considerably improved, expenses
are reduced. At the same time, certain treatment agent combinations
lead to a certain balancing, positively affecting sensory evaluation,
already during clarification.
Bentonite
Bentonite is a multi-layer clay mineral for protein adsorption and
clarification. Raw material selection and processing determine the
purpose of application.

Gelatin
For wine treatment positively charged, mostly medium-bloom, acidically
digested edible gelatin is applied for clarification, flocculation
of lees, tannin reduction and improvement of stability.
Gelita-Klar® A 20 % liquid gelatin in food quality, specially developed for beverage treatment.
ErbiGel® A gelatin in food quality for the treatment
of wine and other beverages.
ErbiGel® Bio Certified 100 % organic edible gelatin for polyphenol reduction and clarification/fining.
GelaFish An edible gelatin which is applied for
the treatment of juice, wine and other beverages. It is made of fish
skins and represents an alternative to the traditional gelatin of
animal origin.
Silica sol
The negatively charged silica sol (silicon dioxide) assures complete
gelatin flocculation, quicker clarification, improved settling and
facilitated filtration.
Blankasit® A milky-white special silica sol with a particularly
large surface. Due to this surface structure, an extremely reliable
efficiency is combined with very economical use.
Klar-Sol 30 A transparent alkaline silica sol for clarification/fining
in combination with protein-containing treatment agents (Gelita-Klar®,
ErbiGel, IsingClair-Hausenpaste, CombiGel®).
Klar-Sol Speedfloc An opalescent silica sol with optimal flocculation
properties for a particularly efficient clarification/fining of wine,
juice and other beverages; contains 30 % highly active silicic acid
in colloidal distribution as active substance.
Klar-Sol Super Acidic special silica sol, milky-white appearance.
Extremely high charge intensity, thus particularly economical application.
Special products
Beside the conventional clarifying agents, different sprecial products
are in use which due to their composition and processing, are particularly
adjusted to certain application cases in wine, e.g. high pH-values,
low temperatures, wines problematic to filtrate, well-balanced red
wine technology or tannin harmonisation at the same time. By the
application of these products, further quality increases can be
realized.
IsingClair-Hausenpaste Liquid isinglass for easy and direct addition. Careful and very efficient agent, SO2-stabilized.
FloraClair Natural plant protein for clarification and harmonisation.
VinoGel® CF NEW A casein-free, liquid clarifying agent with a high affinity to tannins which, as a result, leads to a reduction of tannic substances.
CombiGel® A gelatin-caseinate-isinglass derivative for the treatment of young wine. CombiGel® provides for a good clarification, well-balanced taste and improved filtrability.
